Carolyn Anderson
BFA, Syracuse University, NY. Carolyn began
her career in New York as a designer for a leading manufacturer of
textiles and wall coverings. She has produced limited edition
marathon posters for events in Hawaii, London, Chicago, San
Francisco, Philadelphia, Boston, and New York. Presently a studio
artist, Carolyn's work has won many awards, and her works are in the
collection of the American Bar Association, American Cancer Society,
Blue Cross, Mellon Bank, Merrill Lynch and more.
Deena S. Ball
BA from Colby College, Waterville, Maine. Graduate work at Tyler School of Art
and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. In addition, she has studied with numerous
local instructors and exhibited in regional and national shows. She has taught
as well at Marple Newtown Leisure Services, Main Line Art Center & JCC Kaiserman
and done private tutoring for portfolio prep for school admissions.
Susan Branco
Attended Hussian School of Art, 4 years, majored in
illustration and design. She has taught for many years, specializing in
younger children's art classes and is presently conducting children's
birthday parties for Wayne Art Center.
Ava Blitz
MFA, University of Georgia. BA, University of Toronto.
From 1986 to 1998 she was Associate Lecturer and Fine Arts
Program Director at Bryn Mawr College. Recent public works and
commissions include Beauty & the Beast at Apple Farm Arts and
Music Center, NJ; Floating World at the University City Science
Center, created under the auspices of the Philadelphia Redevelopment
Authority 1% for Art Program; and Seeds of Memory in Tokyo, Japan.
Recipient of honors, awards, and fellowships from the Japan
Foundation, the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation, the Pennsylvania
Council on the Arts, and the Leeway Foundation.

Presently teaches in the Philadelphia School District. Recently
awarded Most Cretive Oil Painting from Norristown Art League.
Leslie Elizabeth Bowen
MFA, PAFA. Graduate work in painting at Sorbonne University of Paris, and Paris
American Academy. BSA, Moore College of Art, Philadelphia. Presently, lecturer
at the Barnes Foundation, Lebanon Valley College, Annville, PA, and Hershey
Museum, Hershey, PA.
Susan Branco

Giovanni Casadei
Academy of the Fine Arts, Rome, Italy, Scuola Libera del Nudo, Rome, Italy and
PAFA. He has taught at Main Line Art Center and Manayunk Art Center. He has
participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions.
Kate Cathey
MFA Metal Design, East Carolina University, Greenville, NC, BA Art History,
State University of New York, Albany. Artworks published in 2004 Rings, Lark

Marie Colette
Three years in Paris under the tutelage of an Alsatian master learning the
traditional techniques of Milk Paint and furniture restoration. Worked at the
ARTS DECORATIVES restoring furniture in the Museum of Strasbourg.
Laurie Daddona
BA in art from East Carolina University. Watercolor specialist. Experience
teaching at the Greater Norristown Art League and Methacton High School's
Continuing Education program. Her works have been exhibited at the Rittenhouse
Square Art Show, and are included in the collections of the University of
Virginia, Princeton University and the University of Pennsylvania.
Michael Doyle
Certificate of Painting, PAFA, where he received the Lambert and Emma
Wallace/Cadwalder prize. Solo exhibitions include Somerville Manning Gallery and
Artist House Gallery. Taught painting at Manayunk Art Center and private
lessons.
Amanda Edmondson

Awardee for works on paper. Work included in the Pennsylvania
State University Collection and the Bryn Mawr College Women's
Collection. Karen is currently represented by Rosenfeld Gallery
in Philadelphia.

Experience in youth art education as a summer camp art teacher,

Garth Herrick
A graduate of PAFA, Garth received the Cresson
Memorial Traveling Scholarship in 1984, and numerous additional
awards. A figurative painter, Garth has been actively painting
commissions for the past twenty years. He is always exploring new
directions and has had an open approach to a variety of painting
styles ranging from quite academically traditional, to photo realism, to
impressionism.
Maria Hershey
BA in Art / Ceramics, University of Miami. A
self employed potter with teaching experience, she is
knowledgeable in a variety of ceramic techniques and enjoys
teaching students of different skill levels and ages.
Maryann Matlock-Hinkle
MFA Painting, University of
Pennsylvania, BFA Painting & Drawing, University of Arizona,
Certificate in Painting, PAFA. She was the recipient of the Cresson
Traveling Scholarship from the Academy and a grant from Pew
Charitable Trust. She has taught at Moore College of Art,
Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and Burlington County College.
Kate Hochner
Masters degree in education from Nazareth College of Rochester. BFA in ceramics
from Alfred University. One year Scandinavian Seminar in Denmark. Currently
teaching ceramics at Allen's Lane and Cheltenham Art Center as well as
Philadelphia Museum of Art in the children's workshops.
Patricia Jordan
Trained at Juilliard Opera Workshop; Royal Shakespeare Company; BA from
Villanova; Drama Director at UMCC and DFAC. Had the lead roles in plays as well
as operas in the tri-county states. Has taught adults and children in many local
art and drama centers.
Pete Kelly
BFA, Alfred University, NY. Studio Technician for
Chester Springs Studio. 2005 Visiting Artist at Conestoga High
School, conducted a Wood Firing Workshop. 2004: Retained a
Summer Internship with Homer Laughlin China Company, Newell,
WV. Maintains a private pottery studio and sells his work locally and
nationally.
Mark Kidd
Self-taught artist, he has developed his own avant-garde style and works out of
his stained glass studio which he owns and operates. He designs and manufactures
custom stained-glass and also restores antique pieces. His work encompasses both
commercial and residential.
Lucartha Kohler
Carnegie Mellon, PA, Moore College of Art, Fine
Art & Design. Penland School of Crafts, NC (Glass concentration).
Presently teaches at the University of the Arts and Fleisher Art
Memorial. Lucartha demonstrates and conducts workshops at
numerous venues including, The Studio of The Corning Museum of
Glass, Corning, NY; The Glass Furnace, Istanbul Turkey; and most
recently The Washington Glass School, DC. Exhibits internationally;
works are in public and private collections. Awards: PA and NJ Visual
Arts fellowships; two Masterworks Fellowships; British American
Travel Grant; Independence Foundation Fellowship in the Arts; US
State Department Cultural Specialist Grant. Publications: Glass: an
Artists Medium and Women Working in Glass. Writes regularly for Glass
Art Magazine.
Georganna Lenssen
Born in Seoul, Korea, Georganna Lenssen
graduated from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and Villanova
University. At PAFA she participated in Hahnemann University's
Gross Anatomy clinic. Awards received from PAFA include The Roy
Lance Lauffer Memorial Prize and The Elizabeth Arramark Memorial
Scholarship. Georganna is represented by Artists House in
Philadelphia and DePaul gallery in Lancaster. Her work has appeared
in numerous publications including Philadelphia STYLE magazine,
Pew Charitable Trusts Magazine.
Charlotte Lindley Martin
BFA in Ceramics, The University of the
Arts. She is a functional potter in the English tradition of Bernard
Leach and Lucie Rie. Teaching currently at the Whitemarsh Art
Carole Maurer
Began the study calligraphy in 1980 at the Philadelphia College of Art and
earned a certificate in Calligraphy from The New School, NY. Taught lettering
and Design at Paier College of Art, Hamden, CT and at The Calligraphy Workshop
of The New School/Parsons School of Design. Was coeditor of The Calligraphers
Engagement Calendar for 15 years. Is on the board of The Philadelphia
Calligraphers' Society and is a freelance calligrapher.
Bonnie Bruce Mettler
BFA from Moore College of Art and Design, Philadelphia, PA. Mural and portrait
artist, who works mainly from commissions.
Lyn Ann Mueller
BS, Kutztown State College, M. Ed., Penn State University. Currently teaching at
the Drexel Hill School of the Holy Child. Presently conducting children's
birthday parties for Wayne Art Center.
Mary Elizabeth Nelson
Has a background in fine arts and has worked in the field of calligraphy and
book arts for the past 20 years. She has studied throughout the US and in China.
Her work was selected for the first Elegant Envelope Contest and is in the
permanent collection of the National Postal Museum, Smithsonian Institution. She
has received the Award of Excellence at several juried exhibitions of the
Philadelphia Calligraphers' Society.
Ernie Norcia
BFA, Rhode Island School of Design, MFA, Maryland Institute, College of Art. He
is a member of the Society of Illustrators, NYC, and American Society of
Portrait Artists. He won an Emmy Award, Academy of Television Arts & Sciences,
for COSMOS.
Sara Linda Poly
Lives in Arlington, Virginia and is a member of the
Washington Society of Landscape Painters, the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air
Painters of America, and the Oil Painters of America. She teaches
outdoor landscape painting classes and workshops through The Art
League School, The South Street Gallery and Nimrod Hall.
Piera Raffaele
BFA, Moore College of Art; certificate in Special Education from Cabrini and
Immaculata College certificate in Elementary Education. She is currently
teaching art in T-E School District.
Dale Roberts
BFA in Painting and Drawing from Tyler School of
Art, Temple University. AAS Rochester Institute of Technology.
Currently teaches at Acadia University, PA, and is Artist-in-Residence
at Bridgeport Elementary, PA. Represented by Rosenfeld Gallery,
Philadelphia.
Scott Rosenblum
BA, Studio Art and in the History of Art and
Architecture from the University of Pittsburg. Recently a long term
substitute art teacher at Ithan Elementary, Radnor Township School
District. Scott is also employed at Reiter Records and Black Rose
Productions as a Logo and CD cover illustrator and consultant.
Jim Scannell
BFA, SUNY New Paltz; PAFA Certificate. He has
six years of teaching experience including the Perkins Center for
the Arts and substitute work at Rosemont College. His sculpture
and painting commisions vary from figurative work to abstract
and utilizes a wide range of materials.
Wendy Scheirer
BFA in Graphic Design, Arcadia University; print making studies, Cleveland
Institute of Art. Continued study in painting with many nationally-recognized
watercolor painters. Teaches watercolor classes at Chester County Art
Association and Immaculata College. She has achieved signature status in the
Pennsylvania, Baltimore and Philadelphia Water Color Societies. Her work is in
the permanent collections of the Hagley Museum, Kutztown University and many
private and corporate collections.
Lesley Shekitka
MFA in painting from American University;
BA in Art History and Archaeology from the University of
Maryland, College Park. Currently, she is working towards a
MA/Ph.D. in the History of Art at Bryn Mawr College, with an
emphasis on modern and contemporary American art. She has
shown in various galleries in Washington, DC.
Daniel W. Shipley
MFA in painting from American University; BA in psychology from the University
of Rochester; certificate in painting from PAFA. His works were featured in the
2003 Plein Air exhibition at Gross McCleaf Gallery and are included in
the Rohm & Haas collection. He also teaches at the Community Art Center in
Wallingford.
Tony Squadroni
Graduate of Hussian School of Art, Philadelphia. Freelance illustrator for
Philadelphia Inquirer, National Business Weekly. Illustration and
Design, mechanicals and storyboards for numerous design companies.
Jackie Stahl
Studied with several world-class dancers, including
Mariela Franganillo from the Broadway show Forever Tango. She has
been teaching Argentine tango for five years and has performed tango
at corporate events, dance festivals, fundraisers and schools. Jackie
has traveled to Argentina to better understand the history and original
culture of the dance.
