WAYNE, PA – March 5th, 2013 – The Wayne Art Center is pleased to present our 10th annual Young at Art exhibition:  Fur, Feathers, and Scales…oh My!  This yearly exhibition celebrates the talents of the young artists of our community.  Children & Teens ages 2-17 have been invited to submit 1 artwork in any media (including, drawing & painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography and mixed media) to be on display in the outer galleries of the Wayne Art Center from March 16th through April 13th.  An opening reception will be held on Saturday, March 16th from 2-4PM for artists and their families, as well as members of the public.

This year, in conjunction with Young at Art, the Wayne Art Center will be hosting a companion exhibit, Unique Visions: Artworks by Students from the Timothy School.  The Timothy school is a private non-profit day school which serves students and families affected by Autism and other Pervasive Developmental Disorders.  We have been privileged to work with the dedicated teachers and exceptional students to provide arts enrichment programs for the last several years, and we are excited to be able to recognize the wonderful vision & artistic accomplishments of the students.  The work of the students involved in the program will be recognized in this companion exhibit, and all of the school’s students have been invited to submit to Young at Art.  Unique Visions will run con-currently with Young at Art, opening on March 16th from 2-4PM, and on display through April 13th, 2013.

The Wayne Art Center would also like to thank the generosity of an anonymous donor from our community who donated the frames for Unique Visions.
