Two for Art, Try-It!

Ages 2 & 3. with parent or caregiver. Thinking about starting your toddler with an art class? Try this 45-minute preview of our regular Two for Art class. Each session begins with storytime, followed by painting with washable tempera. Emphasis is on the process of painting, rather than a finished product. Messy and fun, for toddler and parent or caregiver.

Fun with Nature

Ages 3 & 4. Let your child, like so many famous artists, find their inspiration in nature. We will explore natural materials like seeds, trees and flowers as well as concepts like seasonal change and why birds sing in the spring. The young artists will explore a variety of art materials to express their creative side.

Kinder Art & Clay

Ages 5 & 6. Join in the fun with this class for kindergarten children. Experiment with fantasy figures, animals and some functional clay pieces using basic handbuilding techniques. We will also explore other art materials such as drawing, painting, collage and paper mache. Multi-step projects will also be introduced. Glazing & firing fees included in tuition. Please bring a snack.

Step-By-Step Drawing

Ages 8 & up. Learn how to draw almost anything! Using simple shapes and lines, kids can create amazing drawings "step-bystep." Have fun with pencils, pen & ink, markers, cray-pas and watercolors on a variety of drawing papers. Children's literature will be incorporated to provide interesting subject matter for art projects.

Pottery Club

Ages 7-9. The world of fantasy will be explored while children create imaginary villages, animals, masks, plaques, and sculptural forms. Some functional pieces will also be made. Students will learn the basic techniques of handbuilding in clay.
