Two for Art
9:30-11:00 AM

Ages 2 & 3. This class is a great way to explore art with a young child. A parent or guardian will accompany each child to a morning of art, centered around a theme. Children will explore painting, clay, collage, printing, oil pastels, chalk, and papier mache. Development of fine motor skills will be emphasized. Child must be 2-yrs-old before the start of class. Please bring a snack.
Garden Clay
9:30-11:30 AM

Ages 4-6. Learn the basics of clay and how to translate your two-dimensional drawings into clay creations. We will create a family of garden turtles, candle lanterns, herb garden bowls and decorative frogs. This class will aid in the development of small motor and spatial design skills. There will be time for a snack and a story each day.
ARTogether

Ages 3-4. Share the joy of art with your child. Children will explore artists through the ages with parent or guardian. The opportuntity to experiment with paint, clay, collage and more will be tied to a story-of-the-week as we create together! Development of fine motor skills will be emphasized. Please bring a snack.
For the Birds

Ages 4-6. Create a functional birdhouse out of Kiln fired clay, make bird mobiles, learn to draw birds, paint a larger than life size rooster, print bird note cards and more. While we are creating our own bird masterpieces take a look at famous artwork featuring birds such as Picasso's roosters, Audubon's paintings and Chinese brush paintings
Wheel Throwing
4:15-5:45 PM

Ages 9 & up. Limited to 10 students. This small class will focus on developing wheel-throwing skills. Each student will be encouraged to create his or her own artistic expression with clay. Instruction will be individually tailored to each student with an emphasis on use of slips and glazes. Handbuilding techniques will also be included.
Cartooning
4:45-6:15 PM

Ages 8 & up. A totally creative class touching on comic book heroes and comic strip characters.You can experiment with original ideas or take off on established ones.
