Two For Art

Ages 2 & 3. This class is a great way to explore art with a young child. A parent or guardian will accompany his/her child to a morning of art, games and stories. Each day's activities will be centered around a theme. Children will explore painting, clay, collage, printing, oil pastels, chalk, and paper maché. Development of fine motor skills will be emphasized. Plenty of ideas for projects to do at home will be available. Students must be 2-years-old before the start of class. Please bring a snack.

ABC's: Art, Basics & Clay

Ages 4 & 5. Students will continue to develop fine motor skills and imagination by creating works of art in a variety of mediums. Short and long term projects will be centered around a specific theme. Please bring a snack and a set of eight colored markers to class.

Kinder Art & Clay

Ages 5 & 6. This class is designed to provide a multi media art experience for each child. Through our work we will build skills, explore color, texture, design and practice cooperation with others. We will draw, paint, build and sculpt. Please bring a snack to class.

Creative Drama

Ages 6 & up. Do you have a comedian, actress, actor, entertainer or singer in your house? This is the class for them! Have fun while learning improvisation, mime, voice control, projection and character roles. A great class in confidence building through role playing. A performance will be presented at the last class for friends and family. Child MUST be able to read.

Artist's Studio

Ages 7 & up. Explore a vast array of mixed media while learning techniques in drawing, painting, collage, printmaking and sculptural constructions. Focus will be on experimentation and enjoyment.

Thematic Cartooning

Ages 7 & up. Welcome to the world of cartooning. Students will create cartoons around seasonal themes.Markers, paint, watercolor, cray pas, collage and 3-D sculpture clay will be used. The lessons will foster imagination while addressing individual needs and learning styles. Come and join in the fun.

Wheel Throwing

Ages 9 & up. Limited to 10 students. This small class will focus on developing wheel-throwing skills. Each student will be encouraged to create his or her own artistic expression with clay. Instruction will be individually tailored to each student with an emphasis on use of slips and glazes. Handbuilding techniques will also be included.

Sculpture for Teens

Ages 12-18. Learn the fundamentals of working in the round with ceramic clay. Explore your interest in 3-D design from abstract shapes to realistic form. This class is for the young adult that loves to be creative. No experience necessary, all skill levels welcome.

Tween & Teen Creative Drama

Ages 11-14. Be a star! Scenes from famous plays and musicals, along with basic acting training, improvisation, vocal skills and movement, are the elements that make this class a real winning experience for young actors. A performance will be presented at the last class for friends and family.

Photographic Composition for Adults & Teens

Ages 15 & up. Learn to compose effective photographs by using good composition and visual tools.Discussions during class will center on slide samples, critiques, and weekly assignments depicting landscapes, portraits and the picture package concept. A few field trips to local areas will be planned. Students should bring "Five Faves" to the first class. Learn to think before you shoot and open your eyes to a new way of seeing!

Musical Theatre for Teens & Tweens
