Our goal is to foster our students' artistic development, whatever their level. Wayne Art Center's faculty members accomplish this by presenting lessons that form the building blocks of a strong foundation in the arts. Students are encouraged to continually challenge themselves and move forward in their artistic quest. Classes provide specific instruction, opportunities for group critique and individual attention. To allow for interaction between students and instructors, we keep our classes small.
The Center's faculty members are working artists who have graduated from some of the nation's most prestigious art schools. Many have won awards for their work and are represented in public and private art collections around the country. Our cooking classes and workshops are taught by professional chefs.
As the Wayne Art Center is a non-profit, Membership sponsored organization, a current yearly membership is required to enroll in most classes. Our membership year runs from September 1st - August 31st of each year. Memberships purchased after the Fall session are pro-rated, and membership will be automatically applied when you enroll in your first class each season. If you would like to purchase a family membership, which covers every member of your immediate family for one year, please remember to purchase that membership separately before enrolling in a class. If you have any questions or dificulties, please feel free to call our front desk at 610-688-3553.
In addition to our core classes, we offer special workshops by regionally and nationally known professional artists, as well as lectures by art historians, artists and jurors.
