The Kitchen at Wayne Art Center
Step into THE KITCHEN at Wayne Art Center, where culinary arts take their place alongside painting, sculpting and other fine arts. We offer a seasonal selection of hands-on cooking classes, taught by culinary professionals, for both adults and children. Try a weekly cooking series or a one-time workshop in our state-of-the-art kitchen. Our wonderful "Kids in the Kitchen" series on Saturday mornings offers a season full of good cooking and fills up quickly. Demonstrations and tastings by local restaurants are always popular.
Have your child's next birthday party in THE KITCHEN at Wayne Art Center! Birthday parties are held throughout the year. Each party has a personalized theme developed by parents, child and one of our cooking teachers. Whether it's a favorite food, superhero or princess, the kids get a hands-on cooking experience and everyone loves it!
Watch for special weekend cooking events for families throughout the year. Our annual Valentine's Day Teddy Bear tea, gingerbread house decorating and other cooking workshops are huge hits.
THE KITCHEN is also available for private parties, such as wedding showers, personal celebrations and group events. We will be happy to customize a menu around a particular cuisine, interest or theme. The event can be a relaxing demonstration or an interactive hands-on dooking class. And, of course, the party culminates with a complete meal of the food you prepared. THE KITCHEN is available to rent for an event with or without a class for your group.
Team BuildingIn addition to our classes, we hold cooking programs for team building and client entertaining. The fast paced, intense nature of turning out a meal cooperatively and on time is a natural for companies who are looking to:
- Encourage employee bonding
- Increase cooperation
- Identify leaders
- Boost creativity
- Improve communication
ConferencesThe Wayne Art Center provides an ideal venue to host a conference or symposium. Our naturally lit studios and inspiring galleries offer a unique environment to stimulate learning.
