I enjoy painting shapes of light and color in the landscape. My focus is on the impression of these elements as they come together. Areas of inspiration include Maine and the eastern shore. As a psychologist and painter it is important to feel some emotional connection in choosing my subject matter.
I graduated with a BFA from University of Dayton and continue with classes and workshops at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, the Wayne Art Center and Chesapeake Fine Arts Center. My work is exhibited online at Mary Ellen Goetz Fine Art and at the Pandion Gallery on Fisher’s Island, NY. Recent juried events include the Brandywine Valley Plein Air Festival, Wayne Art Plein Air, and the Philadelphia Sketch Club. Artists that inspire me include William Lawrence, Jon Redmond, Fairfield Porter, Colin Page and Claudia Rilling.
