Our dedicated faculty of professional teachers and artists encourage our youngest students to build the basis for a creative life, working on confidence and problem-solving skills as they develop their artistic side.Teens, ages 15+ are invited to enroll in certain adult level classes. We also welcome teens as year-round volunteers. Learn more about volunteering.
As the Wayne Art Center is a non-profit, member-sponsored organization, a current yearly membership is required to enroll in all classes. Our membership year runs from September 1st – August 31st. Memberships purchased after the fall session are pro-rated, and membership will be automatically applied when you enroll in your first class each year.
Our talented faculty also offer private lessons for children ages 8 and up in drawing and painting, ceramics, and in acting and voice coaching. Lessons are scheduled according to teacher and student availability in blocks of four one-hour lessons at a time. Private lessons for one student start at $65 per hour. Semi-private lessons are $60 per student for two students, or $50 per student for three to four students. For groups of five or more students, we will organize a private group class! Please use this contact form to ask about private lessons today.
