Friday April 26 7-8:30pm
$35 (for non-master class participants)
In preparation for his class, Mr. Shils presents a 90-minute introductory lecture with
slides, examining issues of perceptual awareness. The talk is really chapter one of
the class, so all participants should plan to be there (cost included for master class
participants). Additional participants are welcome for a fee.
Stuart Shils is a native of Philadelphia and studied at Pennsylvania
Academy of Fine Art, where he is now on faculty. He was the recipient
of an NEA grant, an Academy Award in Art from the American Academy
of Arts and Letters and a Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant. A recent
exhibition, an astronomer up late in her observatory, appeared at Steven
Harvey Fine Art Projects in New York, accompanied by a small book of
pictorial dreams with the same title.
