Images of faces and bodies are timeless, the most meaningful and thought provoking to us, they create powerful language, way to communicate emotions and ideas. In "Portrait and Figure Drawing and Bas-Relief" four days workshop students will create two artworks - - first they will do a drawing in pencil, charcoal or pastel from direct observation of a life model. Then, they will start working on bas-relief in clay, they will transfer the tracings of their drawings on clay and start sculpting. Students will study the planes and proportions of human face and body, learn how to sculpt the forms of body and facial features in bas-relief. Clay reliefs will be fired in kiln.
