WAYNE ART CENTER STUDENT WORKS ELIGIBILITY
Wayne Art Center Student Works 2019 is open to all adult students enrolled in a class or workshop at WAC during the 2018-19 academic year. Each student may exhibit up to two works completed at WAC during that time.
Painting, drawing, sculpture, craft, ceramics, stained glass, fiber, jewelry, photography, works on paper and mixed media.
REGISTRATION AND FEES
The cost to enter is $10 per work, and each artist may submit up to two works ($20). Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card at Wayne Art Center. Entry fees are non-refundable. Sale of artwork is highly encouraged. In the event of a sale, Wayne Art Center retains a 40% commission. Artists receive 60% of the retail price within 30 days of the exhibition closing. Students are responsible for setting prices for their work, and prices may not be altered. Works may be marked “Not For Sale,” but no works may be marked “Price Upon Request.”
DELIVERY AND PICK-UP OF ARTWORK
All accepted work must be hand-delivered to Wayne Art Center on Tuesday, July 9 or Wednesday, July 10, 10:00am–5:00pm. Upon drop-off, artists should be prepared to include titles, medium, and price (if for sale). Wayne Art Center will provide all artists with promotional postcards to share with family and friends. All artwork must remain on display throughout the duration of the exhibition. Artwork must be picked up Monday, August 19 or Tuesday, August 20, 10:00am–5:00pm.
All work will be insured from July 12 through August 20, 2019 for 60% of the posted sale price. Students who exhibit work as “Not For Sale” must provide a value to be used for insurance. No work will be insured after August 20.
OPENING RECEPTION & AWARDS
Wayne Art Center Student Works 2019 opens to the public with a reception and awards ceremony on Thursday, July 18, 5:00–7:00pm.
Wayne Art Center Student Works 2019 remains on Exhibition through Friday, August 16.
