Nature is at the heart of the inspiration for Indira Cariappa, who favors painting en plein air and carries her abstract realism style across a range of media. For Indira, art is an expression of joy. Painting is an attempt to capture the fleeting moments and beauty of everyday life. Indira is a self-taught artist and exhibits her Art in various local and international juried Shows. She is currently one among only 100 artists invited to the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society’s 46th Annual International Juried Exhibition and is looking to be a signature member. She is a regular at the Art Gallery at Devon, at the Devon Horse Show. Her Art Works are purchased by various collectors for private and public display. Indira has been teaching watercolors for a decade now and is a proud watercolor instructor at the Wayne Art Center.
