Regarded for capturing the light, space and atmosphere in her paintings, Elise Phillips is well known as an accomplished artist. With her sensitive statement of color and poetic painterly notations, she engages the viewer to see the beauty in the world that surrounds them through her paintings. Having won numerous awards and honors, her work is held in several collections throughout the country. She is a signature member of the American Impressionist Society and the Philadelphia Watercolor Society, a member of the Oil Painters of America, and the Mid Atlantic Plein Air Painters. Phillips grew up in Wayne, PA and attended Hussian School of Art and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. She now resides in Elverson, PA where the bucolic countryside is inspiration for her paintings as is the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Marthas Vineyard and Nantucket where she
frequently visits.
