An award-winning artist and art educator for many years, Anne Whalon received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rosemont College/Villanova University, and a Certificate in Textile Design at the Philadelphia College of Textiles.
Working in NYC as a textile designer for more than 10 years, she developed a fresh, loose, and vivid style of painting. She’s now been teaching watercolor classes for over a decade.
Her love of color is seen in her vivid watercolor and pastel paintings. Predominantly painting locally and commissioned works, she also paints landscapes, scenes from her travels, people, and dogs.
Her work is in public and private collections and her paintings have been selected for many national juried exhibitions receiving numerous awards. She is a signature member of the Philadelphia Watercolor Society, the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society and the Philadelphia Pastel Society.
