Our mission is to foster our students' artistic development, whatever their level. Wayne Art Center's faculty members accomplish this by presenting lessons that form the building blocks of a strong foundation in the arts. Students are encouraged to continually challenge themselves and move forward in their artistic experience. Small class sizes ensure that students receive individual attention from their instructors and have the chance to interact with their fellow classmates.
The Wayne Art Center's faculty members are working artists who have graduated from the nation's most respected art schools. Many have won awards for their work and are represented in public and private art collections around the country. Our cooking classes and workshops are taught by professional chefs who have worked in some of the most prestigious restaurants in the area and around the world.

In addition to our core classes, we offer special workshops by regionally and nationally known professional artists, as well as lectures by art historians, artists and jurors.
Membership
Join Today!
As the Wayne Art Center is a non-profit, member-sponsored organization, a current yearly membership is required to enroll in all classes. Our membership year runs from September 1st - August 31st. Memberships purchased after the fall session are pro-rated, and membership will be automatically applied when you enroll in your first class each year.

Private Lessons
Request a Private Lesson
The Wayne Art Center offers private lessons for students looking for personalized instruction. Our staff will match you with a faculty member based on your interests and experience level. Lessons are scheduled according to teacher and student availability in blocks of four one-hour lessons at a time. Private lessons for one student start at $65 per hour. Semi-private lessons are $60 per student for two students, or $50 per student for three to four students. For groups of five or more students, we will organize a private group class. Please
use this contact form to ask about private lessons today.
Scholarship
The Wayne Art Center welcomes students of all backgrounds and offers full and partial scholarships to those who show documented financial hardship. Please call or stop by the front office to request a scholarship application form.

After the first class, but before the second class, a 75% credit will be allowed.
NO CREDITS WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER THE SECOND CLASS. NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN. Membership dues are non-refundable. No adjustments will be made for student absences. Refunds and credits cannot be issued for classes missed as a result of illness, personal emergencies or any other event beyond our control.
