Introduction to Fresh Pasta with Chef Karen Bentz

If you’ve thought about making fresh pasta, but not sure where to start, this is the class for you.
 
We will walk through the basics of making pasta dough, the right types of flour to use for different pastas, eggs or not to egg, with simple, authentic Italian recipes. We will walk through the steps of rolling and cutting the dough and shaping special pastas.
 
The menu includes: Tortellini in Brodo (tortellini in broth), Tagliatelle ai Funghi e Spinaci (tagliatelle with mushrooms and spinach), Orichette con Pomodori Arrosto (orichette with roasted tomatoes). As no class would be complete without dessert, we will have Torta di Susine (Italian plum cake).
